Blade-Cut Zip Up Hooded Sweatshirt (Supreme exclusive)

About the original

The Supreme/Griffin Zip Up Hooded Sweatshirt is a heavyweight French terry cotton zip-up hoodie finished with Griffin's signature blade-cut treatment across the body, sleeves, and hood: two layers of cotton sliced and frayed so the outer layer lifts into raised 3D loops revealing the layer beneath. Griffin Studio was founded in London in 1994 by Jeff Griffin, a Central Saint Martins graduate whose blade-cut construction (parallel slashes that produce a frayed surface) has anchored his military-derived silhouettes since the mid-1990s. The hoodie has a drawcord hood, kangaroo pocket, ribbed cuffs and hem, a Supreme woven label at the inside neck, and a small woven logo patch at the chest. Released August 25, 2022 at $238 in black, natural, and yellow camo as a Supreme exclusive.

About Griffin

Griffin is a London-based menswear brand founded in 1996 by designer Jeff Griffin, producing technically constructed clothing that draws on workwear and outdoor apparel traditions. Griffin trained at Central Saint Martins and showed his first collection in Paris before establishing the label, which is now run from a studio in rural Wiltshire. The label is known for its use of performance fabrics (waxed cottons, water-resistant nylons, ventile, and bonded textiles) applied to a minimal wardrobe of jackets, parkas, trousers, and accessories. Griffin produces in small batches and has long-running collaborations with Italian and British mills. Supreme has collaborated with Griffin on co-branded outerwear and technical apparel.
