About the original
Mitchell & Ness was founded in Philadelphia in 1904 by Frank P. Mitchell and Charles M. Ness, making team uniforms for local leagues before outfitting the Philadelphia Eagles from 1933 and the Philadelphia Athletics from 1938. Their current business, reproducing historically accurate wool-flannel throwback jerseys, started in 1988 and grew through the Cooperstown Collection and NBA Hardwood Classics lines. The FW23 Supreme collab is a poly sand-knit button-front baseball jersey with tackle-twill chest logo and back graphic by artist Andre Thompson, released in black, green, and white.
About Mitchell & Ness
Mitchell & Ness is an American sports apparel company founded in 1904 by Frank P. Mitchell and Charles M. Ness in Philadelphia, originally selling hand-strung tennis rackets and custom golf clubs made from imported Scottish wood. The company outfitted the Philadelphia Eagles' first NFL kits in 1933. Owner Peter Capolino pivoted the business to vintage reproductions in 1983, launching the Cooperstown Collection of MLB throwbacks in 1988 and the NBA Hardwood Classics line in 1999. Fanatics bought the company in 2022 alongside investors LeBron James, Jay-Z, and Kevin Hart. Supreme has collaborated with Mitchell & Ness on co-branded NBA-style basketball jerseys and warm-up sets.
