About the original

The Supreme x Vanson Leathers Ghost Rider Jacket is a competition-weight cowhide leather jacket with cotton-blend lining, full zip closure, knit rib cuffs and hem, and interior chest pocket, released March 7, 2019 at $1,598. The body is hand-painted and embroidered with a flaming skull and chain graphic from the Marvel character Ghost Rider, alongside Vanson race patches and a Supreme chest patch. Vanson Leathers has cut and sewn motorcycle, race, and leather outerwear in Fall River, Massachusetts since 1974 and is one of the last American-made competition race-suit manufacturers. Vanson does not produce a Ghost Rider-graphic jacket outside the collab — the Marvel license and painted artwork are exclusive to Supreme's SS19 capsule.

About Vanson Leathers

Vanson Leathers is an American motorcycle apparel manufacturer founded in 1974 by Mike van der Sleesen and Jamie Goodson in Boston, Massachusetts. The company's name is a portmanteau of the founders' surnames. Production moved to Fall River in 1987, where it still operates from the Laurel Lake Mill. Vanson made its reputation building racing leathers for Daytona 200 winner Dale Singleton in 1979, and has since outfitted riders including Freddie Spencer, Giacomo Agostini, and Nicky Hayden. Each jacket is cut and sewn by hand, with up to 126 steps per garment. Supreme has collaborated with Vanson on leather jackets and racing suits.
