Buck Knives is an American knife manufacturer founded in 1902 by Kansas blacksmith apprentice Hoyt Buck, with the commercial business established by his son Al Buck in San Diego, California in 1947. The company is now headquartered in Post Falls, Idaho. Its Model 110 Folding Hunter, introduced in 1964, popularized the lockback folding knife and became one of the best-selling folding knives in history. Buck produces fixed-blade and folding knives using 420HC and S30V steels, heat-treated in-house using a process developed by metallurgist Paul Bos. Supreme has collaborated with Buck on co-branded versions of its classic pocket knives.
