RIMOWA is a German luggage manufacturer founded in 1898 by Paul Morszeck and Heinrich Görtz in Cologne, initially producing wooden trunks. Paul's son Richard registered the Rimowa trademark, an acronym for Richard Morszeck Warenzeichen, in 1931, and introduced the first riveted duralumin aluminum suitcase in 1937. The signature parallel-groove case debuted in 1950, and the brand later pioneered lightweight polycarbonate luggage in 2000. Now owned by LVMH, RIMOWA cases are handcrafted in Cologne and assembled from more than 90 steps. Supreme released a co-branded RIMOWA Topas Multiwheel aluminum suitcase for Spring/Summer 2018.
