SyuRo is a Tokyo-based design studio founded in 2000 by interior designer Masuko Unayama in the Torigoe district of Taito, Tokyo, an area historically dense with typesetters, canning factories, and small family-run workshops. The studio produces handmade tinplate, copper, and brass storage canisters along with chopsticks, glassware, and household goods, working with local artisans practicing monozukuri, Japanese small-batch manufacturing. SyuRo means palm tree in Japanese, a reference to leaves spread open like welcoming hands. Production runs are intentionally small, and pieces are designed for long-term daily use. Supreme collaborated with SyuRo on co-branded tinplate canisters for FW25.
