teenage engineering is a Swedish electronics and design firm founded in 2007 in Stockholm by Jesper Kouthoofd, David Eriksson, Jens Rudberg, and David Mollerstedt. The company's debut product, the OP-1 portable synthesizer, launched in 2011 and combined a synthesizer, sampler, four-track recorder, and FM radio in an aluminum chassis the size of a paperback. Subsequent releases include the Pocket Operator series of credit-card-sized synths, the OP-Z sequencer, and industrial design work for IKEA, Panic's Playdate console, and Rabbit R1. Its products are in the MoMA permanent collection. Supreme's collaboration with teenage engineering produced a co-branded Pocket Operator.
