Teranishi Chemical Industry is a Japanese marker manufacturer founded in 1916 and headquartered in Osaka, Japan. The company released Magic Ink in 1953, the first oil-based permanent marker developed and sold in Japan, and the Magic Ink Large became the country's standard for industrial labeling, shipping, and signage. Teranishi makes the markers under the Magic Ink and TEXTA names, with a fast-drying, water-resistant oil ink and a felt-tip body that has barely changed in over seventy years. The eight-color ML-8 set remains the company's signature product. Supreme collaborated with Teranishi on a co-branded eight-color Magic Ink Marker set for Spring/Summer 2022.
