Wavian is the importer brand for the original NATO-spec steel jerry can, manufactured at the Latvian factory that has produced the design since World War II. The container itself was developed in 1937 by the Muller engineering firm in Schwelm, Germany, to a design by chief engineer Vinzenz Grunvogel for the Wehrmacht. The triple-handle pressed-steel can holds 20 liters, uses 0.9mm walls, a Rezol rust-proof lining, and an internal breather pipe, and remains the standard fuel container across NATO member militaries. Allied troops nicknamed it the jerry can after their term for German soldiers. Supreme has collaborated with Wavian on a co-branded fuel can.
