About the original

The Champion Reverse Weave Full-Zip Hoodie is built on Champion's patented cross-grain construction, introduced in 1952 to prevent vertical shrinkage in collegiate athletic fleece. The body is 12-ounce cotton-polyester fleece with a brushed interior, stretch rib side panels, a YKK metal zipper, a two-piece hood with drawcord, and an embroidered C logo on the left chest. Champion has manufactured athletic apparel in Rochester, New York since 1919, originally supplying University of Michigan football teams, and the Reverse Weave hoodie remains the brand's signature silhouette. The FW17 Supreme collab adds an arc-shaped Supreme logo embroidered across the chest in contrasting thread and retailed for $158.

About Champion

Champion is an American sportswear company founded in 1919 by Simon Feinbloom and his sons William and Abraham in Rochester, New York, originally as Knickerbocker Knitting Mills. The company supplied athletic uniforms to the University of Michigan in the 1920s and to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point shortly after. Champion developed the reverse-weave sweatshirt in 1938, a construction that runs the fabric crosswise to limit shrinkage, and produced the first hooded sweatshirts for cold-weather laborers and athletes. HanesBrands has owned the label since 2006. Supreme has collaborated with Champion on co-branded hoodies, crewnecks, and sweatpants since the early 2000s.
