The coaches jacket is a postwar American athletic staple: a nylon shell with snap-front closure, drawstring hem, and interior jersey lining, worn on sidelines from collegiate football to NBA benches since the 1960s. Champion Athletic Apparel was founded in Rochester, New York in 1919 by brothers Abe and Bill Feinbloom and is one of the originators of the style, supplying sideline gear to collegiate and professional teams through the mid-twentieth century. Champion is also credited with inventing the reverse-weave sweatshirt in 1938 and the hooded sweatshirt for cold-weather sideline use. The Supreme SS2024 version uses nylon with cotton jersey body lining and taffeta sleeve lining, an embroidered Champion script at the chest, and retailed for $148.

Champion is an American sportswear company founded in 1919 by Simon Feinbloom and his sons William and Abraham in Rochester, New York, originally as Knickerbocker Knitting Mills. The company supplied athletic uniforms to the University of Michigan in the 1920s and to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point shortly after.
