Supreme x Champion Puffy Vest
Supreme vs. Original

Supreme version
About the original
The Supreme x Champion Puffy Vest is a quilted polyester-shell vest with poly fill, produced by Champion Athleticwear, the Rochester, NY sportswear brand founded by the Feinbloom family in 1919. The SS17 collaboration used Champion's heavyweight retro puffer construction with a large chenille C-logo patch at the chest and a tackle-twill Champion script on the back, the same logo execution Champion has used on collegiate outerwear since the 1950s. Snap front closure, stand collar, quilted poly fill throughout, dual hand pockets. Released week 3 of SS17 for $158. Champion's own Men's Puffer Vest with C-logo retails for around $75 on champion.com; the construction is similar, but Supreme's version uses an oversized chenille C patch rather than an embroidered logo.
About Champion
Champion is an American sportswear company founded in 1919 by Simon Feinbloom and his sons William and Abraham in Rochester, New York, originally as Knickerbocker Knitting Mills. The company supplied athletic uniforms to the University of Michigan in the 1920s and to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point shortly after. Champion developed the reverse-weave sweatshirt in 1938, a construction that runs the fabric crosswise to limit shrinkage, and produced the first hooded sweatshirts for cold-weather laborers and athletes. HanesBrands has owned the label since 2006. Supreme has collaborated with Champion on co-branded hoodies, crewnecks, and sweatpants since the early 2000s.
