Original — Clarks Originals
Wallabee Maple Suede Shoes (26155515)
About the original
The Clarks Originals Wallabee is a moccasin-construction lace-up shoe designed in 1967 by Lance Clark at the Padmore & Barnes factory in County Kilkenny, Ireland, and built on the natural crepe rubber sole Nathan Clark developed for Clarks in the 1950s. Clarks itself was founded in Street, Somerset, England in 1825. The SS25 Supreme version replaces the standard suede upper with a reflective 3M-coated tumbled leather that flashes silver under direct light, retains the natural crepe midsole and co-branded tassel tongue, and was offered in pink, silver, and natural. The standard Maple Suede Wallabee (model 26155515) is in continuous production and retails at Clarks for $140.
About Clarks Originals
Clarks Originals is the heritage line of C. & J. Clark International Ltd., a British shoemaker founded in 1825 by Cyrus and James Clark in Street, Somerset, England. The brand introduced the Desert Boot in 1950 and the Wallabee in 1967, both of which became enduring fixtures across mod, reggae, hip-hop, and streetwear culture. Clarks remains family-owned and continues to manufacture through factories across Europe and Asia.
