Supreme x LACOSTE Beanie
Supreme vs. Original

Supreme version
About the original
The Lacoste Ribbed Wool Beanie is a cuffed knit cap in 100% combed wool, built with a full 2x2 rib structure and finished with a tone-on-tone embroidered crocodile on the turned edge. The weight and ribbed hand correspond to the brand's cold-weather-line knitwear; the standard colorway range includes black, navy, grey, green, and the signature Lacoste red. Lacoste was founded in Troyes, France in 1933 by seven-time Grand Slam tennis champion René Lacoste, whose embroidered crocodile is widely credited as the first logo ever placed on the exterior of a performance garment. The FW19 Supreme version is a cashmere-blend variant with Supreme script wrapping the cuff beside the crocodile, produced exclusively for Supreme.
About LACOSTE
Lacoste S.A. is a French apparel company founded in 1933 by tennis champion Rene Lacoste and textile manufacturer Andre Gillier in Troyes. Lacoste designed the L.12.12 polo shirt in 1933 using petit pique cotton to replace the long-sleeved woven shirts worn on court, and the crocodile embroidered on its chest is considered the first visible logo on a consumer garment. The company expanded into footwear, fragrance, and leather goods, and its core tennis-adjacent sportswear remains in continuous production. Supreme and Lacoste have released multiple co-branded seasonal collections since 2017 spanning polos, track sets, and bags.
