About the original
The Mitchell & Ness Doughboy Twill Varsity Jacket is an all-cotton twill varsity with a quilted satin lining, snap front closure, welt hand pockets, striped ribbed collar, cuffs and hem, an embroidered Pillsbury Doughboy applique on the back alongside a Supreme script logo at the chest, and an embroidered Supreme emblem on the sleeve. Mitchell & Ness was founded in Philadelphia in 1904 as an athletic goods manufacturer and became the licensed builder of MLB, NBA, NFL, and NHL throwback jerseys in the 1980s; their twill varsity pattern is the same shell used on those throwbacks. This Fall/Winter 2022 collaboration pairs the Pillsbury Doughboy — General Mills mascot since 1965 — with Supreme branding, and was made exclusively for Supreme in Black, Blue, and Green.
