Supreme x Mitchell & Ness Doughboy Twill Varsity Jacket
Supreme vs. Original

Supreme version
About the original
The Mitchell & Ness Doughboy Twill Varsity Jacket is an all-cotton twill varsity with a quilted satin lining, snap front closure, welt hand pockets, striped ribbed collar, cuffs and hem, an embroidered Pillsbury Doughboy applique on the back alongside a Supreme script logo at the chest, and an embroidered Supreme emblem on the sleeve. Mitchell & Ness was founded in Philadelphia in 1904 as an athletic goods manufacturer and became the licensed builder of MLB, NBA, NFL, and NHL throwback jerseys in the 1980s; their twill varsity pattern is the same shell used on those throwbacks. This Fall/Winter 2022 collaboration pairs the Pillsbury Doughboy (General Mills mascot since 1965) with Supreme branding, and was made exclusively for Supreme in Black, Blue, and Green. Retail was $368.
About Mitchell & Ness
Mitchell & Ness is an American sports apparel company founded in 1904 by Frank P. Mitchell and Charles M. Ness in Philadelphia, originally selling hand-strung tennis rackets and custom golf clubs made from imported Scottish wood. The company outfitted the Philadelphia Eagles' first NFL kits in 1933. Owner Peter Capolino pivoted the business to vintage reproductions in 1983, launching the Cooperstown Collection of MLB throwbacks in 1988 and the NBA Hardwood Classics line in 1999. Fanatics bought the company in 2022 alongside investors LeBron James, Jay-Z, and Kevin Hart. Supreme has collaborated with Mitchell & Ness on co-branded NBA-style basketball jerseys and warm-up sets.
