About the original

The Supreme x Nike Cotton Twill Shirt is a long-sleeve button-down work shirt co-branded with Nike, the Beaverton, Oregon athletic-wear company founded in 1964 by Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman as Blue Ribbon Sports and renamed Nike in 1971. The body is mid-weight cotton twill with a button-down collar, full button placket, and standard barrel cuffs. The center chest carries embroidered Nike Swoosh and Supreme logos stacked together. Released for SS21 in multiple colorways. Nike's own button-down shirt line, sold through nike.com and Nike retail, focuses on golf polos and lightweight performance shirts rather than cotton twill workshirts. Supreme used Nike's licensing for the Swoosh embroidery rather than sourcing the shell from Nike's own production.

About Nike

Nike is an American sportswear corporation founded in 1964 as Blue Ribbon Sports by track coach Bill Bowerman and runner Phil Knight in Eugene, Oregon, and renamed Nike in 1971. The Swoosh was designed that same year by graphic design student Carolyn Davidson for thirty-five dollars. Bowerman prototyped the Cortez and the waffle-sole Moon Shoe, and the Air Max line, introduced in 1987, made Tinker Hatfield's visible-air midsole a signature. Nike now produces footwear and apparel across running, basketball, football, and training, and owns Jordan Brand and Converse. Supreme has collaborated with Nike repeatedly since 2002 across Air Force 1, Air Max, and Dunk.
