The Supreme x Swarovski Crystal Box Logo Tee features 1,161 Swarovski crystals hand-applied in New York City to form the box logo on a heavyweight cotton t-shirt. Released in April 2019 to mark Supreme's 25th anniversary, the tee came in three colorways and retailed for $398, making it one of the most expensive Supreme tees produced at that time. Swarovski was founded in 1895 in Wattens, Austria by Daniel Swarovski, a Bohemian-born crystal cutter who patented an electric crystal-cutting machine that allowed precision faceting at scale. The company supplies cut crystals across fashion, jewelry, and performance wear, including stage costumes for Olympic figure skating and the Vienna State Opera, and remains family-owned five generations on.
About Swarovski
Swarovski is an Austrian crystal manufacturer founded in 1895 by Daniel Swarovski in Wattens, Tyrol, where the company is still headquartered. Daniel Swarovski patented an electric cutting machine that produced precisely faceted crystal at scale, and the company supplies cut crystal components to jewelry, fashion, and lighting industries alongside its own finished products. The catalog includes jewelry, figurines, chandeliers, and optical instruments, and Swarovski crystals have been used on garments by Dior, Chanel, and Alexander McQueen. The company operates more than 2,300 retail locations worldwide and remains family-owned. Supreme has collaborated with Swarovski on co-branded crystal-embellished accessories.
