About the original
The COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT line is Rei Kawakubo's dedicated shirting label, launched in 1988 under the CDG umbrella — Kawakubo founded the parent house in Tokyo in 1969 and showed the first CDG collection in Paris in 1981 — and has built its identity around deconstructing classic shirting silhouettes like the flannel button-down through an avant-garde cut-and-paste approach. CDG SHIRT flannels sell through Dover Street Market and CDG boutiques from around $320. Supreme and COMME des GARÇONS have run one of streetwear's longest-running partnerships since their first collaboration in 2012. The SS22 collab is a cotton-flannel button-down with contrast color blocking and printed Supreme and CDG branding.
