About The Exorcist
The Exorcist is an American horror film released by Warner Bros. on December 26, 1973, directed by William Friedkin and adapted by William Peter Blatty from his 1971 novel. It depicts the demonic possession of twelve-year-old Regan MacNeil, played by Linda Blair, and was loosely based on a 1949 case in Maryland. Produced for $12 million, it grossed over $441 million and earned ten Academy Award nominations including Best Picture, the first horror film to receive one. Friedkin had Regan's bedroom refrigerated to negative twenty Fahrenheit to capture visible breath on camera. Supreme licensed The Exorcist for FW25 across tees, an S/S top, a camp cap, and a flannel shirt.
