GORE-TEX Trooper

About the original

The Trooper is a fleece-lined aviator hat with ear flaps that fold up and snap to the crown or fold down for full coverage, built from a GORE-TEX shell laminate that is waterproof to 28,000mm hydrostatic head and certified windproof. True Religion was founded by Jeffrey Lubell and Kymberly Gold in Vernon, California in 2002 and is known for its thick horseshoe stitch detailing and Buddha logo, both of which appear here as front-panel embroidery. The Supreme version is a collaboration-exclusive product; True Religion does not sell a GORE-TEX Trooper in its own line, and the hat does not exist outside this drop. Released in Week 14 of Fall/Winter 2022 at $98 in five colorways.

About True Religion

True Religion is an American denim brand founded in 2002 by Jeffrey Lubell and designer Kym Gold in Los Angeles, California. The first collection of about 14,000 pairs introduced the thick contrast stitching, oversized horseshoe back-pocket arch, and Buddha-and-guitar logo that defined the brand's look through the mid-2000s, when the jeans became fixtures on Angelina Jolie, Jessica Simpson, Megan Fox, and Jennifer Lopez. Production was originally done in Vernon, California using selvedge and ring-spun denim. TowerBrook Capital Partners acquired the company in 2013, and ownership has changed hands several times since. Supreme has collaborated with True Religion on co-branded denim and graphic apparel.
