About the original
The Kangol Bermuda Elastic Spacecap is a seamless knit baseball cap crafted in Kangol's proprietary textured Bermuda fabric, a blend of acrylic, modacrylic, and nylon. About Kangol
Kangol is a British headwear company founded in 1938 by Jacques Spreiregen in Cleator, Cumbria, with the first factory opened that year alongside his nephew Joseph Meisner. The name combines K from knitting, ANG from angora, and OL from wool. Kangol supplied berets to British armed forces during World War II and to the British Olympic team in 1948 before moving into bucket hats and the 504 flat cap, which became fixtures of 1980s hip-hop on LL Cool J, Run-DMC, and Slick Rick. Bollman Hat Company has owned the brand since 2001. Supreme has collaborated with Kangol on co-branded bucket hats and 504 caps.
