The Kangol Furgora Cuff Beanie is a cuffed knit hat made in Furgora, Kangol's angora-wool blend fabric, its pile brushed up after knitting into the raised nap that gives the cap its soft surface and warmth. Kangol was founded in 1938 by Jacques Spreiregen, whose first factory opened in Cleator, Cumbria, England; the ANG and OL in the name come from angora and wool, the K from silk or knitting, depending on the account.
