About the original
The New Era 59FIFTY is a structured six-panel fitted cap with a flat brim, a high crown, and an embroidered New Era flag at the left wear side. New Era Cap Company was founded in 1920 by Ehrhardt Koch in Buffalo, New York. The 59FIFTY was introduced in 1954 and became the shape Major League Baseball plays in; New Era has been the league's exclusive on-field cap supplier since 1993. It comes in fitted sizes from 6 7/8 to 8, with a buckram-stiffened front panel that holds embroidery flat. The blank version in that same crown is what decorators print on. Supreme has run graphics on the stock 59FIFTY nearly every season since the early 2000s — box logos, scripts, and for FW26 a metallic crown print.
