The North Face Steep Tech Apogee Jacket is a shell in water-resistant bonded nylon with sealed seams, a removable hood, a half-zip front with a snap placket, and multiple external zippered pockets. Steep Tech was designed in 1991 with professional extreme skier Scot Schmidt, the first apparel line The North Face built around a specific athlete, using reinforced fabrics with pockets and webbing relocated to survive big-mountain skiing. The North Face was founded in San Francisco in 1966. The original Steep Tech line ran until 1998; the Apogee is one of the models Supreme has revived, keeping the snap placket and the panelled Steep Tech shell across its re-releases.
