Duralex is a French tempered glassware manufacturer founded in 1945 in La Chapelle-Saint-Mesmin, near Orleans, as part of the Saint-Gobain group. The company commercialized tempered soda-lime glass tableware and released its first product, the stackable Gigogne tumbler, in 1946. The Picardie, introduced in 1954, became its signature design and a standard in French school canteens, bistros, and cafeterias. The glass resists thermal shock up to 130 degrees Celsius and shatters into small blunt fragments rather than shards. Supreme's collaboration applied its logo to a set of Picardie tumblers produced in France.
