Frette is an Italian linen manufacturer founded on December 1, 1860 by Edmond Frette, Alexandre Payre, and Charles Chaboud in Grenoble, France, before relocating production to Monza, Italy in the early 1860s. The company has supplied the Italian royal family since 1881, the Vatican, the Orient Express, the Titanic, and over 500 European royal households. Frette operates Jacquard mills in Concorezzo and a flagship store on Via Manzoni in Milan that has run since 1878. Sheets are woven from Egyptian cotton and finished by hand.
