Kidde is an American fire safety manufacturer founded in 1917 by Walter Kidde in Bloomfield, New Jersey. The company built its early reputation on industrial fire suppression systems, installing the first integrated smoke detection and CO2 extinguishing system aboard ships in the 1920s. Kidde later expanded into residential products and is now one of the largest makers of household smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors, and fire extinguishers in North America. Its ABC dry chemical extinguishers and battery-powered smoke alarms are standard issue in homes, schools, and commercial buildings. Supreme has collaborated with Kidde on branded fire extinguishers.
