Nerf is an American toy brand introduced in 1969 by Parker Brothers and now owned by Hasbro. The original product was a four-inch polyurethane foam ball developed from a concept by games inventor Reyn Guyer and Minnesota Vikings kicker Fred Cox, marketed as the world's first indoor ball. Over four million Nerf balls sold in the first year. The line expanded with the Nerfoop basketball set in 1972 and the Nerf football, also designed by Cox, which became the brand's most recognized product. Hasbro acquired Nerf in its 1991 purchase of Tonka, which had bought Kenner-Parker in 1987. Supreme has collaborated with Nerf on co-branded foam footballs and basketballs.
