About the original

The Nerf Rival Takedown XX-800 is a pump-action blaster that fires high-impact foam rounds at up to 90 feet per second from an 8-round internal breech-loading magazine, with a manual priming slide and no batteries required. Released in 2020 under Hasbro's Rival line, marketed to ages 14 and up and positioned as the competitive-accuracy side of the Nerf catalog, the Takedown is the entry-level model in the sub-line and uses the same round-ball ammunition as the larger Rival blasters. The SS2021 Supreme collab produced the blaster in a red and white colorway with printed logos on the shell and a co-branded 8-round magazine. It retailed at $58.

About Nerf

Nerf is an American toy brand introduced in 1969 by Parker Brothers and now owned by Hasbro. The original product was a four-inch polyurethane foam ball developed from a concept by games inventor Reyn Guyer and Minnesota Vikings kicker Fred Cox, marketed as the world's first indoor ball. Over four million Nerf balls sold in the first year. The line expanded with the Nerfoop basketball set in 1972 and the Nerf football, also designed by Cox, which became the brand's most recognized product. Hasbro acquired Nerf in its 1991 purchase of Tonka, which had bought Kenner-Parker in 1987. Supreme has collaborated with Nerf on co-branded foam footballs and basketballs.
