Speedo is an Australian swimwear manufacturer founded in 1914 by Alexander MacRae in Sydney as MacRae Knitting Mills. The brand introduced the Racerback swimsuit in 1928 and later pioneered the Fastskin fabric technology, followed by the LZR Racer suit co-developed with NASA and worn during a run of world records at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, which prompted FINA to rewrite its swimwear regulations. The company produces racing suits, goggles, caps, and training gear, and sponsors national teams and Olympic swimmers worldwide. Speedo is owned by Pentland Group in most markets. Supreme has collaborated with Speedo on co-branded swim and training apparel.
