The Wiffle Ball, Inc. is an American toy manufacturer founded in 1953 by David N. Mullany in Fairfield, Connecticut, and now based in Shelton. Mullany designed the perforated plastic ball for his twelve-year-old son after noticing that backyard pitchers were throwing curveballs with broken tennis balls. The eight oblong holes on one hemisphere let a pitcher throw sliders and curves without straining the arm. The ball and yellow plastic bat have been produced from the same Connecticut factory for over seventy years, still run by the Mullany family. Supreme collaborated with Wiffle on Box Logo ball and bat sets.
