About the original
The Supreme Aphex Twin Ambient Works Tee is a short-sleeve cotton T-shirt released as part of Supreme's SS25 collaboration with Aphex Twin, the recording name of Cornish electronic producer Richard D. James. The front carries a metallic-printed Aphex Twin logo and the back prints the full tracklist and title of Selected Ambient Works 85-92, the 1992 R&S Records debut that James compiled from bedroom cassettes recorded between ages 14 and 21 and which Pitchfork later placed at #1 on its best IDM albums list. The tee released March 6, 2025 in black, navy, white, fluorescent yellow, red, and chocolate chip camo. It is Supreme-exclusive artist merch with no direct retail counterpart.
About Aphex Twin
Aphex Twin is the recording alias of British electronic musician Richard D. James, born in 1971 in Limerick, Ireland and raised in Cornwall, England. James released his debut EP Analogue Bubblebath in 1991 and co-founded Rephlex Records the same year with Grant Wilson-Claridge. His 1992 album Selected Ambient Works 85-92, issued through Apollo Records, became a defining work of ambient techno before he signed to Warp Records for Selected Ambient Works Volume II, Richard D. James Album, and Drukqs. Paul Nicholson designed the Aphex Twin logo in 1991. Supreme collaborated with Aphex Twin on tees and accessories featuring the logo.
