Comme des Garçons SHIRT Classic T-Shirt
About the original
Comme des Garçons SHIRT is the menswear diffusion line launched by Rei Kawakubo's Comme des Garçons in 1988, producing premium basics and tailored shirting typically made in Portugal, Italy, or Japan. Cotton tees from the line run $80 to $150 at standard retail. Comme des Garçons itself was founded in Tokyo in 1969; Kawakubo's Paris debut in 1981 helped establish Japanese avant-garde fashion as a force in European ready-to-wear. The Supreme FW18 tee carries the split box logo, the Supreme wordmark halved and mirrored across a vertical center seam, applied to a 100% cotton crewneck body. It retailed for $54 and dropped September 13, 2018.
About COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT
COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT is a menswear line of the Japanese label COMME des GARÇONS, which was founded in Tokyo in 1969 by designer Rei Kawakubo. The SHIRT line launched in 1988 and is produced in France, focused on reinterpreting traditional men's shirting through unconventional cuts, patchwork construction, and contrast fabrics. It is distributed under the Comme des Garçons Trading Museum. Supreme and COMME des GARÇONS SHIRT have released co-branded collections every year since 2012, typically covering shirts, trousers, and outerwear, making it one of Supreme's longest-running collaborative partnerships.
