About the original

Independent Truck Company was founded in 1978 in Santa Cruz, California by Fausto Vitello and Richard Novak, and its skate apparel program has always centered on functional basics: pullover anoraks, hooded sweats, and work-style outerwear stocked at skate shops. The FW17 collab is a half-zip nylon anorak with a drawcord hood, kangaroo pouch pocket, and an Independent cross logo at the chest; Supreme released it November 16, 2017 in black, olive, slate, and navy at $168. Independent's own ITC Span Anorak is built on the same pullover silhouette in water-resistant nylon and sells at skate retailers for around $65.

About Independent Truck Company

Independent Truck Company is an American skateboard-hardware brand founded in 1978 by Richard Novak, Jay Shuirman, Fausto Vitello, and Eric Swenson in Santa Cruz, California, as a division of NHS, Inc. The Stage designations track the truck's geometry revisions; the current Stage 11, released in December 2012, uses a 55mm height with revised pivot housing and no-hang-up yoke. Independent is the best-selling skateboard truck brand in the world, and the iron-cross logo is one of the most recognized marks in skateboarding. The company sponsors riders including Eric Koston and Andrew Reynolds. Supreme and Independent have collaborated on multiple occasions.
