About the original

Independent Truck Company was founded in 1978 in Santa Cruz, California by Fausto Vitello and Richard Novak, and its Stage trucks have been the dominant hardware in professional skateboarding for four decades. The company's core apparel program, cotton tees carrying the Independent wordmark, sells through NHS Skate Direct, Tactics, and skate shops worldwide for around $25. The FW17 collab is a 100% cotton short-sleeve tee with the Independent name rendered in Old English script across the chest; Supreme charged $44, released it November 16, 2017, and produced it in white, black, red, olive green, heather grey, and dark slate.

About Independent Truck Company

Independent Truck Company is an American skateboard-hardware brand founded in 1978 by Richard Novak, Jay Shuirman, Fausto Vitello, and Eric Swenson in Santa Cruz, California, as a division of NHS, Inc. The Stage designations track the truck's geometry revisions; the current Stage 11, released in December 2012, uses a 55mm height with revised pivot housing and no-hang-up yoke. Independent is the best-selling skateboard truck brand in the world, and the iron-cross logo is one of the most recognized marks in skateboarding. The company sponsors riders including Eric Koston and Andrew Reynolds. Supreme and Independent have collaborated on multiple occasions.
