Supreme x Independent Quilted Flannel Shirt
Supreme vs. Original

Supreme version
About the original
The Independent Quilted Flannel Shirt is a quilt-lined cotton flannel overshirt built around graphics from Independent Truck Company, the Santa Cruz skate hardware brand founded by Fausto Vitello and Eric Swenson in 1978. The shell is a brushed cotton flannel in a plaid weave with a snap-front closure, two snap-flap chest pockets, and a quilt-padded interior for cold-weather wear. The chest carries an embroidered “Supreme” wordmark flanked by Independent’s cross logos, the same crosses that appear on Independent’s Stage 11 truck baseplates. Independent licenses its imagery to apparel manufacturers across skate retail. The Supreme FW17 collaboration is co-branded with Independent at the chest and interior with a quilted lining for added insulation.
About Independent
Independent Truck Company is an American skateboard truck manufacturer founded in 1978 by Fausto Vitello, Eric Swenson, Richard Novak, and Jay Shuirman in Santa Cruz, California. The trucks are cast at Ermico Enterprises in San Francisco and distributed by NHS, the Santa Cruz parent company that also runs Santa Cruz Skateboards and Creature. Within six months of launch the trucks held a 50 percent market share, and the Stage geometry has been refined through eleven generations. The Iron Cross logo, designed by artist Kevin Ancell, became one of skateboarding's most reproduced graphics. Supreme has collaborated with Independent on co-branded trucks and apparel.
