About the original
A 7-ply North American maple skateboard deck produced for Supreme's FW21 collab with the New York Yankees, one of six deck graphics in the collection alongside caps, jerseys, and outerwear. The Yankees were founded as the Baltimore Orioles in 1901, moved to New York in 1903, and have since won 27 World Series titles, the most of any MLB franchise. The interlocking NY logo was originally designed by Tiffany and Co. in 1877 for a New York police medal and later adopted by the team in 1909. The airbrushed Yankees artwork on this deck references the hand-painted T-shirt aesthetic sold by stadium vendors and boardwalk airbrush shops in 1980s and 1990s New York.

The New York Yankees are an American Major League Baseball franchise founded in 1901 as the Baltimore Orioles of the American League and relocated to New York in 1903, where they were renamed the Highlanders and then the Yankees in 1913.
