About the original
The Supreme x Nike Air Max 98 TL is a running-inspired sneaker released on November 3, 2022 as part of Supreme's Fall/Winter 2022 Nike capsule, retailing at $168 with style code DR1033. The Air Max TL, originally designed by Sergio Lozano in 1999 as the Tuned Air successor to the Air Max 98, uses Nike's Tuned Air cushioning system with visible heel units and a mesh-and-synthetic upper. Nike shelved the TL after its 1999 run, and this Supreme collaboration marked the model's first return to retail in over two decades. The shoe dropped in four colorways — black (DR1033-001), white (DR1033-100), brown (DR1033-200), and pink — and included Supreme-branded extra laces and an orange hang tag.
About Nike
Nike is an American sportswear corporation founded in 1964 as Blue Ribbon Sports by track coach Bill Bowerman and runner Phil Knight in Eugene, Oregon, and renamed Nike in 1971. The Swoosh was designed that same year by graphic design student Carolyn Davidson for thirty-five dollars. Bowerman prototyped the Cortez and the waffle-sole Moon Shoe, and the Air Max line, introduced in 1987, made Tinker Hatfield's visible-air midsole a signature. Nike now produces footwear and apparel across running, basketball, football, and training, and owns Jordan Brand and Converse. Supreme has collaborated with Nike repeatedly since 2002 across Air Force 1, Air Max, and Dunk.
