Nike Life Padded Hooded Canvas Workwear Jacket
About the original
Nike Sportswear has produced workwear-inspired outerwear under its Life line for years, adapting canvas chore-coat silhouettes with synthetic fill and embroidered Swoosh branding. The FW18 collab is a 12 oz. washed cotton twill jacket with a quilted nylon lining, exposed two-way front zipper with storm flap, zip patch pockets, interior chest pocket, and a faux-leather Swoosh appliqué on the back; Supreme released it September 27, 2018 in black, olive, brown, and royal at $260. The closest current Nike equivalent is the Nike Life Padded Hooded Canvas Workwear Jacket (DQ5172), which retails around $200.
About Nike
Nike is an American sportswear corporation founded in 1964 as Blue Ribbon Sports by track coach Bill Bowerman and runner Phil Knight in Eugene, Oregon, and renamed Nike in 1971. The Swoosh was designed that same year by graphic design student Carolyn Davidson for thirty-five dollars. Bowerman prototyped the Cortez and the waffle-sole Moon Shoe, and the Air Max line, introduced in 1987, made Tinker Hatfield's visible-air midsole a signature. Nike now produces footwear and apparel across running, basketball, football, and training, and owns Jordan Brand and Converse. Supreme has collaborated with Nike repeatedly since 2002 across Air Force 1, Air Max, and Dunk.
