About the original

The Nike Sportswear Windrunner debuted in 1979, designed by Bob Lusk as a single-layer nylon windbreaker for competitive runners: light enough to wear in a race, durable enough for training in weather. The chevron chest seam, originally cut to reduce wind drag, has remained the silhouette's signature for over four decades. The SS19 Supreme version adds a quilted inner lining and a removable hood to the water-resistant nylon shell, with a full zip closure, snap placket, and diamond ripstop accent panels at the shoulders. It released in silver, green, and purple colorways, carried a chest-embroidered Supreme box logo, and retailed for $248.

About Nike

Nike is an American sportswear corporation founded in 1964 as Blue Ribbon Sports by track coach Bill Bowerman and runner Phil Knight in Eugene, Oregon, and renamed Nike in 1971. The Swoosh was designed that same year by graphic design student Carolyn Davidson for thirty-five dollars. Bowerman prototyped the Cortez and the waffle-sole Moon Shoe, and the Air Max line, introduced in 1987, made Tinker Hatfield's visible-air midsole a signature. Nike now produces footwear and apparel across running, basketball, football, and training, and owns Jordan Brand and Converse. Supreme has collaborated with Nike repeatedly since 2002 across Air Force 1, Air Max, and Dunk.
