About the original

The Nike Dunk Low is a leather basketball shoe designed by Peter Moore and introduced in 1985 for Nike's "Be True to Your School" program, which issued it in the team colors of Kentucky, Michigan, St. John's and other NCAA programs. It has a padded low collar, a perforated toe box and a stitched rubber cupsole; skateboarders adopted it in the 1990s, and Nike SB reworked it with a padded tongue and Zoom Air insole in 2002. The Dunk Low Retro is Nike's current production version of the original shape. The FW26 Supreme and Martine Rose pair is an all-black leather Dunk Low with a printed boxing photograph across the side panels, a co-branded footbed, a metallic woven tongue label and a metallic embroidered heel logo.

About Nike

Nike is an American sportswear corporation founded in 1964 as Blue Ribbon Sports by track coach Bill Bowerman and runner Phil Knight in Eugene, Oregon, and renamed Nike in 1971. The Swoosh was designed that same year by graphic design student Carolyn Davidson for thirty-five dollars. Bowerman prototyped the Cortez and the waffle-sole Moon Shoe, and the Air Max line, introduced in 1987, made Tinker Hatfield's visible-air midsole a signature. Nike now produces footwear and apparel across running, basketball, football, and training, and owns Jordan Brand and Converse. Supreme has collaborated with Nike repeatedly since 2002 across Air Force 1, Air Max, and Dunk.
