Nike Stripe Rugby
About the original
The Nike Stripe Rugby is a long-sleeve cotton jersey rugby shirt with a twill collar, three-button placket, and reinforced stitching at the shoulder seams, built in a variable-width horizontal stripe pattern across the body and sleeves. Nike was founded in Beaverton, Oregon in 1964 and has periodically produced rugby silhouettes across its Heritage and SB sublines, often styled as lifestyle pieces rather than on-field kit. This particular rugby was produced exclusively for Supreme's SS25 collaboration with Nike and carries embroidered Supreme box logos and Nike Swooshes on the chest, sleeve, and back collar. There is no standalone Nike retail version of this shirt outside the collab program.
About Nike
Nike is an American sportswear corporation founded in 1964 as Blue Ribbon Sports by track coach Bill Bowerman and runner Phil Knight in Eugene, Oregon, and renamed Nike in 1971. The Swoosh was designed that same year by graphic design student Carolyn Davidson for thirty-five dollars. Bowerman prototyped the Cortez and the waffle-sole Moon Shoe, and the Air Max line, introduced in 1987, made Tinker Hatfield's visible-air midsole a signature. Nike now produces footwear and apparel across running, basketball, football, and training, and owns Jordan Brand and Converse. Supreme has collaborated with Nike repeatedly since 2002 across Air Force 1, Air Max, and Dunk.
