Supreme x The North Face Metallic Mountain Parka
Supreme vs. Original

About the original
The North Face Mountain Parka is a DryVent waterproof-breathable shell with fully seam-taped construction, an adjustable three-piece hood, a hem cinch-cord, and napoleon-style chest pockets. The silhouette is a long-running piece in the TNF catalog based on the 1985 original. The North Face was founded in 1966 in San Francisco by Doug Tompkins and Kenneth Klopp. The SS2018 Supreme collab applies a metallic laminate finish to the DryVent nylon, released in silver and gold colorways exclusive to the collaboration. The underlying seam taping, hood hardware, and shell weight are identical to the retail Mountain Parka. The standard DryVent Mountain Parka retails at $350; the collab sold for $398.

Supreme and The North Face have run one of streetwear's longest ongoing collaborations, releasing seasonal capsules each spring and fall since 2007.
