Supreme x Opinel No.4 Knife Keychain
Supreme vs. Original

Supreme version

About the original
The Opinel No.4 is a compact folding pocket knife with a 5cm Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel blade, a turned beechwood handle, and an integrated keyring loop at the pommel. It uses the brand's Virobloc locking collar, added to the line in 1955, which rotates to secure the blade open or closed. Opinel was founded in 1890 in the Savoie region of France by Joseph Opinel, who built the first No.1 through No.13 range in 1897; production remains in Chambery. In 1985 the London Victoria and Albert Museum named the knife one of the hundred best-designed objects in the world. The Supreme FW25 collab stamps the handle and retails at $20 in red, green, and black.
About Opinel
Opinel is a French knife manufacturer founded in 1890 by Joseph Opinel in the Savoie region of the French Alps, where it is still family-owned and produced. Opinel began selling the numbered folding knife with a beechwood handle to local farmers, herdsmen, and winemakers, and introduced the Virobloc rotating locking collar in 1955. The company registered the crowned-hand trademark in 1909 and had sold roughly twenty million knives by the start of World War II. The No.08 was included in the Victoria and Albert Museum's list of the hundred best-designed objects. Supreme's collaboration with Opinel pairs the box logo with the numbered folding knife.
