Supreme x Playboy Gold Ring
Supreme vs. Original

Supreme version
Original — Playboy
Gold Ring (Supreme exclusive)
About the original
The Supreme/Playboy Gold Ring is a 14K solid gold signet-style ring set with a square-cut black onyx stone, topped with a 7mm 14K gold Playboy Rabbit Head pendant, and embossed with the Supreme logo on the inner band. Playboy, founded by Hugh Hefner in Chicago in 1953, has licensed the Rabbit Head silhouette (designed by Art Paul for the second issue in 1954) continuously since. The ring was produced exclusively for Supreme for SS15 in a single run of sizes and has no Playboy-branded retail equivalent. Supreme sold it at jewelry-grade pricing reflecting the 14K content; comparable 14K gold onyx signet rings from the aftermarket retail in the $400-900 range depending on weight and finishing.
About Playboy
Playboy is an American men's magazine founded in 1953 by Hugh Hefner in Chicago, Illinois, produced from his Hyde Park kitchen with $8,000 in seed capital. The first issue carried no date (Hefner was unsure there would be a second) and led with a Marilyn Monroe centerfold from a previously published calendar shoot. The Rabbit Head logo, designed by art director Art Paul for the second issue, became one of the most-licensed marks of the twentieth century. Playboy paused its print magazine in 2020 and now operates as a licensing business under PLBY Group. Supreme has collaborated with Playboy on Rabbit Head T-shirts, hoodies, and outerwear.
