Supreme x Schott Fur Peacoat
Supreme vs. Original

Supreme version

Original — Schott NYC
740 Classic Melton Wool Pea Coat
About the original
The Supreme x Schott Fur Peacoat is built on Schott's U.S. 740N Peajacket pattern: the same 32-inch double-breasted silhouette, military anchor buttons, hand-warmer pockets, and interior chest pocket as the wool original, rebuilt in faux fur. Schott NYC has manufactured the 740N for the U.S. Navy and commercial market since the mid-1900s and it remains their best-known coat. The interior tag on the Supreme version is a reproduction of the U.S. 740N Peajacket label. Released FW17 at $498 in navy and leopard colorways, both Union-made in the USA. The retail Schott 740 runs $595 in 32-ounce Melton wool; the fur treatment is exclusive to this collaboration.
About Schott NYC
Schott NYC is an American outerwear manufacturer founded in 1913 by brothers Irving and Jack Schott on Manhattan's Lower East Side, originally making fur-lined raincoats sold door-to-door. In 1928 Irving Schott designed the Perfecto, the first leather jacket built with a zipper, selling the original at a Long Island Harley-Davidson distributor for $5.50. The off-center asymmetric zip became the template for the genre, worn by Marlon Brando in The Wild One and later by the Ramones and the Sex Pistols. The Schott family still operates the company from a factory in Union, New Jersey. Supreme has collaborated with Schott NYC on Perfecto jackets, varsity jackets, and N-3B parkas.
