Supreme vs. Original

Supreme version
Original — Skittles
Polartec Jacket
About the original
The Supreme x Skittles Polartec Jacket is a fleece pullover styled as a racing-team jacket, built with Polartec fleece — the synthetic fleece fabric developed by Malden Mills (now Polartec LLC) in Lawrence, Massachusetts in 1981. Skittles, the fruit-flavored candy launched in the UK in 1974 and brought to the US in 1979, licensed its wordmark and racing-team imagery to Supreme. The jacket has a stand collar, half-zip placket, chevron stripe accents across the chest and sleeves, and embroidered patches reading Skittles Racing Team, Wild Berry Original, and Taste the Rainbow. Released for FW21 in multiple colorways. Skittles itself does not produce apparel — branded merchandise is limited to promotional giveaways and licensing deals like this one.
About Skittles
Skittles is a British fruit-flavored candy introduced in 1971 by a UK distributor for Mars, Incorporated. The lentil-shaped sugar shell candies were first imported to the United States in 1974, the same year Mars secured the U.S. trademark, and domestic production began in 1982. The brand is now owned by Mars Wrigley, the confectionery division of Mars headquartered in Chicago, which absorbed Skittles after Mars acquired the Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company in 2008. The Original mix carries strawberry, orange, lemon, green apple, and grape flavors, marketed under the slogan Taste the Rainbow. Supreme licensed the Skittles logo for co-branded apparel and accessories.
