Supreme vs. Original

Original — SOL
SOL Venture Solar Water Bottle Lantern
About the original
SOL (Survive Outdoors Longer) is an Adventure Medical Kits sub-brand founded in 2007 in Oakland, California, focused on compact survival gear sold through outdoor retailers like REI. The Venture Solar Water Bottle Lantern combines a 700 mL BPA-free Tritan bottle with a screw-top LED module putting out 20 to 100 lumens across three brightness modes plus an SOS strobe, recharged over USB-C in roughly 2.5 hours or via the integrated solar panel in 25 hours of direct sun. The lantern collapses into the bottle for packing and floats when capped. The FW2025 Supreme version is the standard SOL Venture with a red Supreme logo printed on the panel; released November 6, 2025 at $44.
About SOL
SOL, short for Survive Outdoors Longer, is an American emergency and survival gear line produced by Adventure Medical Kits, founded in 1989 in Oakland, California, by Stanford emergency medicine professor Eric A. Weiss, MD. AMK and SOL were rolled into Adventure Ready Brands, with operations now based in Littleton, New Hampshire. The SOL catalog includes Emergency Bivvies and Escape Bivvies built from heat-reflective polyethylene that retains roughly 90 percent of body heat, Fire Lite spark-based fire starters, signal mirrors, survival blankets, and the Scout and Origin compact survival kits in watertight roll-top bags. Supreme collaborated with SOL on an Emergency Bivvy and a Fire Lite kit.
