Supreme x Spitfire Classic Swirl T-Shirt
Supreme vs. Original

Original — Spitfire
Classic '87 Swirl T-Shirt
About the original
Spitfire Wheels was founded in 1987 in San Francisco under NHS Fun Factory, the same company that owns Independent Trucks and Santa Cruz Skateboards, and the Classic '87 Swirl graphic pulls its swirl pattern from the flame halo around Spitfire's Bighead logo. The Bighead itself was drawn by skateboarder Jim Phillips, who also designed the Santa Cruz Screaming Hand. The T-shirt is cotton with the Bighead swirl printed on the chest and a larger fill version across the back, a standard piece in Spitfire's year-round range. Supreme's SS2018 version swaps the Bighead for a Supreme box logo inside the swirl and retailed for $44 on March 8, 2018.
About Spitfire
Spitfire Wheels is an American skateboard wheel manufacturer founded in 1987 in San Francisco by Jim Thiebaud and Tommy Guerrero under the Deluxe Distribution umbrella. The brand's flaming-head logo was drawn by artist Kevin Ancell. Spitfire's Formula Four urethane, released in 2014, became a standard pour for street and park skating, and the brand's Classic and Conical shapes remain catalog staples. Spitfire sits alongside Thrasher, Real, and Anti Hero in the Deluxe family of San Francisco skate labels. Supreme has collaborated with Spitfire on co-branded wheels, apparel, and accessories over many years.
