Supreme version
About the original
The Spyder Men's Bug Band Crew Socks are athletic crew-height socks knit from a 76% acrylic, 22% nylon, and 2% elastane blend, with moisture-wicking construction, arch compression, and cushioned heel and toe zones. Spyder was founded in 1978 in Boulder, Colorado by former US ski team racer David Jacobs, who began sewing technical ski racing sweaters out of his basement and grew the company into an official USA Ski Team supplier by 1989; socks, gloves, and base layers followed in the 1990s. The Men's Bug Band crew sock retails around $15 per pair at Amazon. The FW24 Supreme collab pairs the Spyder spider graphic with Supreme wordmarks across the shin, released December 19, 2024 as a single-pair pack at $28 in seven colorways.
About Spyder
Spyder is an American ski apparel brand founded in 1978 by David Jacobs in Boulder, Colorado, started as a mail-order business out of his kitchen selling racing sweaters to ski-team customers. Jacobs, a former member of the Canadian National Ski Team, named the company after the spider-leg-pattern racing pants his sons wore on the circuit, borrowing the "y" spelling from the Ferrari Spyder. The brand outfitted the U.S. Ski Team from 1989 to 2022 and developed early full-body race speed suits used in World Cup competition. Authentic Brands Group acquired Spyder in 2018. Supreme has collaborated with Spyder on technical ski jackets, bib pants, and base layers.
